Motown Records’ Releases a Holiday EP

Motown Records’ continues their Christmas project trend with a brand new holiday EP featuring the premier new generation R&B acts of the roster including Asiahn, Joy Denalane, Ted When, Njomza, and Tiana Major9. It’s a very short five song EP featuring an individual offering from each of the 5 artists mentioned. The 5 track EP pulls from some of our favorite Christmas records over the year and showcased the talented roster that Motown has in their possession. I’ve already been on record saying that I’m anticipating a big year from Asiahn in 2021, but I really. enjoyed the vocal abilities of every artist on this EP. Ted When’s ‘Snow In California’ might be my favorite song from the entire EP. The pandemic has made things interesting for artists who need to touch the road in order to grow their audiences and fanbases. Hopefully in 2021 solutions are put in place so that artists can begin to move around once again, because this Motown roster is just missing exposure. The talent is there, but the media and press opportunities were cut short due to the virus. All of these artists have the vocal talent required, so we’ll see what happens in 2021 as far as their career trajectories are concerned. At 5 songs and just under 18 minutes this project is very concise and enjoyable. I actually wish it had an extra 5-7 songs because I enjoyed the EP so much. With December approaching this EP will very much so be in my rotation as the year 2020 comes to a close.
