Please trust me when I say, you should watch The Menu. I am currently funemployed thus I have a lot of time to work on What You Expect and binge-watch shows and movies. The WYE group chat said that The Menu is a must-watch thus I had to tap in.
About The Menu
The Menu was written by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, and focuses on a young couple who visits an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprises. The movie stars Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Judith Light, and John Leguizamo.
Fiennes plays the world-class chef who creates his perfect dinner and adds some unexpected ingredients to the menu planned. I do not want to give away any spoilers but let’s say he takes his diners on a night they will never forget.
The Menu had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2022, and was released in the United States on November 18, 2022, by Searchlight Pictures. The film grossed over $78 million worldwide on a budget of $30 million and received positive reviews from critics.
Personally, The Menu is definitely the best movie I have watched thus far this year, and honestly may be the best movie I have watched. in recent memory. I will give the movie 5 stars, and two thumbs up.
